Julia Basile

Julia Basile was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2021.

Between 2018 and 2020, she trained with international lawyers specializing in the defense of human rights in France and abroad (Zimeray & Finelle law firm) and in international criminal law (Elise Le Gall law firm).

She has a degree in International Law from the Institut de Hautes Études Internationales et du Développement in Geneva, having studied at the University of Montreal and the Panthéon-Assas University, and she also has a diploma in Criminal Sciences from the Institute of Criminology in Paris.

She has also worked as part of a defense team in a case of war crimes and crimes against humanity brought before the International Criminal Court. At the same time, she was responsible for international criminal justice matters at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.

True to his commitment to human rights, she has worked to defend the rights of indigenous peoples within a US NGO (Project Expedite Justice) and is actively involved in an association for the defense of cases of arbitrary detention (International League Against Arbitrary Detention).

She is a lawyer at Kempf Ruiz Avocats.

She works in French, English and Italian.
